Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that forward Eden Hazard is still in his plans for next season.

         Newcastle were previously reported to be willing to pay a fee to bring them back to the Premier League this season. But the players refused to go to football as well.

         However, Ancelotti insists the 31-year-old is still in the squad for the 2022/23 season.

         “Hazard is in the plans for the team to look at us for next season. I can confirm,” Ancelotti said.

         Hazard is currently under contract until 2024 and has made 60 appearances for the club since joining in 2019, scoring six goals and providing 10 assists.

Fabrizio Romano reported on Saturday that Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti had no plans to sell the Belgian. 

‘Hazard is in our plans for the next season, I can confirm,’ Ancelotti said.

Hazard’s rumour departure came. As the club is anticipated to sign Kylian Mbappe on a free in the summer. 

The PSG star has long been report as only seeing Madrid as his next destination.

Mbappe’s arrival is likely to push Hazard further down the pecking order and he has made just 17 appearances in all competitions this season.
